Drawing on 30 years of very diverse experience, I design, make, and install one-of-a-kind studio pieces, made to order furniture, and custom millwork for discriminating clients with an eye for beauty and a demand for excellence.
As a studio furniture maker whose primary pleasure is in the sculptural pieces that I design and make from solid wood using hand tools and traditional equipment, I also relish creative millwork projects with architectural depth. Equally at home with hand cut joinery and plastic laminate, whatever your fine woodworking needs, it would be my pleasure to serve you.
Collections
Studio developed collections are continuously growing. Sometimes a collection expands because of a client’s request for something based on an existing studio design. While pieces that derive their form from unique slabs cannot be replicated exactly, most forms are reproducible in a variety of woods. We’d also be very happy to design something completely unique for you.
Residential Millwork
Millwork projects get the same rigorous attention to detail, as literally every square inch of a millwork project is examined for perfection.
Early Experience
The work shown here was done years ago when I was under the employ of furniture and millwork companies owned by other people. These scanned images show a range of work, from wall units to school cabinets to stock exchange traders stations. The designs were by others, but it was in those days that I honed my project management skills, as one millwork company placed me in the role of managing production.
