Dinette
This table is made from a maple tree that was hundreds of years old. A magnificent tree, it dominated the yard of its home on Walker Line in Aylmer, ON before succumbing to carpenter ants and the onset of decay. It appears to have been tapped for syrup long ago, and this has added to the interesting figure of these book-matched slabs. Lag bolts and other embedded metal objects limited some of the cutting and preventing these slabs from being a much larger table. The pedestal is walnut and the feet are mildly spalted and wormy maple.
